Just back from men's wheelchair basketball finals, where Canada took silver. Which means we didn't win the final game, but it was a great match to watch. Canada was definitely the crowd favourite, and we were well represented in the audience.
Earlier today I took advantage of some free time to visit the Lama Temple, and marvelled again at the intricacy of traditional Chinese architecture. I was also impressed by the gigantic 4-storey high Buddha which is the centrepiece of the temple. No pictures allowed, but the building below appears to have been constructed primarily to house this rather amazing gold-gilded likeness.

Tomorrow is my last full day in China and we'll be topping off our rather incredible journey with a trip to the Great Wall of China. And then homeward bound, back to where the heart lies.
