This young specimen joins the Japanese maple in the budding arboretum we are developing. Perhaps planting a variety of trees on a second-floor outlook is unwise, but the pursuit of apples knows no bounds. Many thanks to Dave and Nicola for the tree.

One day, that is, after the sun starts shining and Vancouver is finally introduced to Summer 2007. Any day now, would be good.I'm off for a quick trip to the beautiful Rockies, and a quick duck into Calgary to see Jacq and Mike. Back in time for Canada day and with any luck, Scott and I will use the rest of the weekend to do useful things like hang pictures on our bare-but-freshly-painted walls.
